Summary

This project created a network of agricultural specialists in Asia and Latin-America to form the Asia Latin-America Agri-Food Research Network (ALARN), with researchers from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. They wrote ten working papers to analyze the agricultural sectors of these countries, covering the sectors’ policies, production chains, food demand and trade of the key commodities. A seminar was organized to present these results, thereby helping bring about the improvement of the exchange of knowledge between the two regions
